• Usage Data: Information automatically collected such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time spent on the Site.
• Payment Data: Information collected for the User Fee such as credit card details, billing address.

Cookies & Tracking Data: Information collected through cookies to improve the user experience.

3. How We Use Your Data

We may use your data to:

• Facilitate communication between you and Participating Lawyers
• Provide, improve, and monitor our services
• Respond to inquiries and provide customer support
• Enforce our Terms & Conditions and comply with legal obligations

Process Payment transactions for the User Fee.

4. Ownership of Submitted Content

• All questions, text, and other content you submit to the Site become the property of AskJAQQ.
• We store submitted content and may use it for internal purposes, service improvement, and anonymized research.
• We do not sell user-submitted content or personal data to third parties.

5. Role in Legal Communications

• AskJAQQ is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.
• Any legal information you receive is from a Participating Lawyer, with whom you may or may not form a future lawyer–client relationship.

AskJAQQ is not a party to the lawyer–client relationship and is not responsible for the content of any legal advice provided from any lawyer-client relationship formed from initial interactions between yourself and a lawyer from the website.

6. Data Storage & Security

• Data is processed in Canada and may be stored securely on servers in Canada or jurisdictions with adequate protections.

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect against loss, theft, and unauthorized access.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal and submitted content for as long as needed to provide our services or as required by law.

8. Your Rights (Canada)

You may request:

• Access to your personal information
• Corrections to your personal information
• Deletion of your personal information, subject to legal and operational limits
• Withdrawal of consent for certain uses of your data

• To Participating Lawyers to facilitate your legal consultation

11. Third-Party Payment Processor (Stripe)

We use Stripe to process the non-refundable Access Fees paid to utilize our Service.

• Data Collection: When you make a payment, the necessary payment information (such as your credit card number, security code, and billing address) is collected directly by Stripe, not by AskJAQQ. We only receive information confirming the success or failure of the payment transaction.
• Security: We do not store sensitive payment card details on our servers. Stripe is certified to the highest industry standards for security and compliance.
• Privacy Responsibility: Stripe’s use of your personal information is governed by their independent privacy policy.

12. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

Information We Collect

When you purchase a subscription or make an in-app purchase through the Apple App Store, we may receive:

• Basic transaction details: purchase date, transaction ID, product ID, subscription status
• Payment information: securely processed by Apple (we do not store payment details)
• User account identifiers: associated with your subscription
• Device and app usage data: required to manage your purchase

How We Use This Information

We use this data to:

• Activate and manage your subscription
• Enable access to premium content and features
• Process renewals, cancellations, and refunds
• Provide customer support related to your purchase
• Meet security, audit, and legal obligations

Third-Party Sharing

• Apple Inc.: Processes all payments and handles subscription transactions. Your purchases are subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy.
• Qonversion: We use the Qonversion SDK for subscription validation, analytics, and entitlement management. Data such as your user ID, product identifiers, and subscription status may be shared with Qonversion in accordance with their Privacy Policy.

Your Choices & Rights

• Manage, update, or cancel subscriptions anytime in your Apple ID → Subscriptions settings
• Request access to or deletion of your subscription-related data
• Cancel free trials before the renewal date to avoid charges

Data Security & Retention

• We use industry-standard security practices to safeguard subscription data

• Information is retained only as long as your account remains active or as required for operational, legal, or regulatory purposes
